Development Experience

Unlike the LSPD and BCSO, this department's prime directive is to assist in the development of Everfall where possible. This involves high level analysis of bugs and feature changes/additions. It also involves providing in-depth feedback on future systems project write ups. You will be expected to know how to use certain development and project management tooling such as GitHub and Notion. Programming/development knowledge is highly recommended but not required.

Legal Procedure & Law

State troopers are sworn officers and it is vital that they have a deep and detailed understanding of how the state laws apply to themselves as well as the citizens they serve. Troopers encounter a wide range of legal situations daily, and oftentimes need to make split-second decisions based on the laws. Demonstration of this knowledge is paramount to your success as a member of SASP.

Police Policy & Process

While each police department will have individual policies and procedures, there are some overarching principles that supercede and guide all police departments in the execution of their duties. Knowledge of, and commitment to following established policies and processes is essential to successful policing.
